The back-to-school season is just around the corner, and with it comes the excitement of reuniting with friends, embracing new challenges, and of course, showcasing your unique style on campus. Clothing choices can be an incredible way to express yourself and make a statement about who you are. Whether you have a specific style or look you are going for or just wanna wear something that's comfortable, it is good to get a head start on your shopping early. A lot of back to school sales may be during select time periods and stores may run out of inventory quickly. Let's take a look at some popular retailers.
Children's Place is running a great sale right now! They are a great choice for uniforms and offer multipacks of shirts in generic colors and have shorts, pants, and skirts/skorts. They have some great graphic tees for boys and girls as well. Also to note, they have some pretty fun matching outfits for the whole family if that is something you like to do. The only downside is they don't offer all clothing styles in all sizes.
Target has great deals on their Cat and Jack line with up to 30% with Target Circle benefits. Some of their deals are only offered on select dates, so you will need to visit your store's website to make sure you don't miss them. Target also offers a wide variety of styles to suit your child's preferences and you can mix and match different items easily. Downside, is they can sell out fast leaving you with limited options if you wait too long.
Amazon is a great platform to search for clothes, but you need to have an idea what you are looking for to narrow down your search. If you use general search terms you could be looking at 100s of pages of different styles of clothes that you aren't interested in or get yourself in an endless scrolling position. They also won't be running a general sale as their platform is a mix of multiple retailers. If you are willing to put in the time to find the deals and know what you are looking for, then it is a convenient shopping option.
Old Navy is running a great sale and has inexpensive uniform options. Their shirts have a more retro vibe with some bright colors mixed in. Their jeans are definitely taking you back to the time of wide legged pants with some skinny/stretch options as well. A lot of items qualify for an extra 40% off at checkout and quite a few $10 and under steals. That's some pretty good savings.
Cotton On is doing a buy one get one 50% off on jeans and t-shirts. They also have some 2 for $20 shirts and shorts. Their clothing appears more retro in style with older versions of sonic, care bears, mickey mouse, etc but it is definitely nostalgic and you can't go wrong with that.
Walmart has their Justice brand that has some very cute items but they aren't marked down online so I doubt they are in store. But they are brightly colored and a lot of things have the Powerpuff Girls on them if you are looking for girls. For boys their are a lot of gaming characters. One thing that did stand out to me was the number of options they had for shoes from tennis shoes to boots, etc and for good prices.
Zara has some great items in fun styles and colors and a lot of their character shirts were more retro in style and with an oversized fit. Pricewise they are a bit more expensive and they aren't running any sitewide sales like some of the other stores I have mentioned. They do have some items in their sale section, but it looks like it is more of end of summer sale clothing with a lot of tank top and shorts sets.
In summary, each retailer offers its own unique styles and options depending on you or your child's preferences. Some stores have sitewide sales, others have specific sale items or BOGOs. So, go ahead and experiment, try different retailers, different styles, mix and match, and most importantly, have fun. Happy back-to-school shopping!
